Job Description
Production associates (downstream technicians) will unload drainage pipes of all sizes, trim plastic excess, cut to spec, and coil into rolls. Candidates must be comfortable lifting 30-40 pounds routinely and will team lift above that. They must also be comfortable maneuvering (push/pull) heavier parts up to 100 pounds. Our production facility manufactures drainage pipes of various sizes to drain rainwater under bridges, ditches, farmland, and more.
ResponsibilitiesUnload drainage pipes of all sizes.Trim plastic excess.Cut drainage pipes to specifications.Coil pipes into rolls.Lift and maneuver up to 40 pounds routinely.Team lift for weights above 40 pounds and maneuver heavier parts up to 100 pounds.Operate hand and power tools, including sawzall.Package finished products.Essential SkillsGeneral labor, production line, or machine operation experience.Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.Ability to maneuver up to 100 pounds (lifting/pulling finished pipes off the scale).Experience with hand and power tools.Experience in packaging and general labor.Work Environment
This is a non-climate-controlled environment, which means it can be cold in the summer and hot in the winter. The facility is fairly organized with a brand new line recently installed. However, if a lot of scrap plastic is produced, the facility can get cramped. We have a total of 60 employees.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of London, Ohio.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.25 - $21.50/hr.
