Note: This role works onsite at our Global Ministry Center in Colorado Springs, CO. Only applicants local to Colorado Springs will be considered.
OverviewThis associate conducts quality production in print, finishing, and inserting of Compassion materials. They will assemble trip books, sponsorship packets, brochures, mailings, and letters with accuracy and timeliness in support of Compassion's marketing and communication efforts. The associate further utilizes various machines, tools, and computer applications during production that require a high attention to detail. He or she may coach the work of other associates.

Acts as an advocate to raise the awareness of the needs of children. Understands Christ’s mandate to protect children. Commits to and prioritizes child protection considerations in all decision-making, tasks and activities across the ministry. Abides by all behavioral expectations in Compassion’s Statement of Commitment to Child Protection and Code of Conduct. Reports any concerns of abuse, neglect or exploitation of children through Compassion’s internal reporting process and appropriately supports responses to incidents if they occur.

Operates a variety of production duties with little direction needed in print, finishing, and inserting. Performs manual fulfillment to ensure effective, accurate, and timely processing of components and some finished products as a part of the Compassion distribution center production process. Performs regular manual fulfillment for jobs that cannot be processed on automated inserting equipment.
Follows daily production assignments including, setup, operation, and maintenance of production equipment (including digital presses, production printers, high-speed inserters, programmable cutters, folders, creasers/perforators, booklet converting, punches, book binding and laminators.) Informs senior associates and supervisor of needed repairs to equipment when applicable.
Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level and restocking supplies once received.
Supports a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
Documents actions by completing production and quality forms as assigned. Adheres to process and procedure documentation within the scope of daily work.
Participates in team discussions on work processes and issues. Explores simple process improvements within the scope of individual work and provides recommendations to supervisor as appropriate.
May provide some general administrative support.
