Grundfos is seeking a CNC Machinist. The CNC Machinist role requires a versatile, adaptable, and entrepreneurial mentality – being willing to do “what it takes” to satisfy our customers. This will be performed suing any number of instruction methods: from bills of material, written and verbal instruction, and professional experience. The successful candidate is well-versed in the safe operation of standard and specialty in CNC turning and milling.This position reports directly to the APU Supervisor and will operate daily out of the Aurora, IL facility.
Relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future. **Your main responsibilities:**
+ Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and materials on machines such as milling, jib bores, grinders and shapers.
+ Measures and marks dimensions and reference points on material or work piece as guides for subsequent machining.
+ Observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out of tolerance machining and adjusts machine controls or control media as required.
+ Must be able to setup all parts to me machined.
+ Proficient tooling knowledge and will select and use metal cutting tooling in all applications.
+ Responsible for deburring own parts before moving parts to the next stage.
**Your background:**
**We imagine that you have:**
+ 3-6 years of experience in the use of measuring tools.
+ Proficiency in the use of precision measuring instruments and the application of such instruments. Instruments should include but not limited to calipers, ID and OD micrometers, depth gauges, indicators and tape measures.
+ Must be able to operate a job and overhead crane proficiently.
+ Must possess advanced math skills for the purpose of calculating material fabrication.
+ Must be a team player and align with the Grundfos behaviors and values.
