Production Coach I
The Production Coach, influences, coaches, and mentors, shop floor employees, Process Owners, and Cluster Leads, which involves being physically present on the shop to upskill, foster engagement, and help drive a development and performance-based organization. The role has full accountability to facilitate problem solving, system and supply issues, and anything related to production up and down time. Coach also is responsible for owning PSS work processes in their assigned area.
The main role is to support PSS tools and drive culture and engagement by creating PSS standards and development of people so that they can solve their own problems and create own standards. Also, responsible to facilitate problem solving.
The incumbent will have primary focus in:
Teaching, coaching, and mentoring Core and Support groups in PSS AdvancementDrive business results through the implementation of continuous improvement tools and methodologiesResponsible of implementing PSS program design elements and utilizing them to achieve site strategic goals.Developing and implementing digital transformation initiatives
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role are to:
Teaching, coaching, and mentoring others in Lean Methodologies and Management Systems;Ambassador and champion of Operational Excellence for the production cluster. Coaches shop floor employees and leadership to help them develop, refine and enhance Production Supply System capabilities;Drives the adoption of standardization tools and concepts to bring stability and enhanced business performance;Supports efforts to increase employee engagement & empowerment, and moral, with the goal of building a strong continuous improvement & technically driven culture across the organization;Builds high performance work teams, empowering others;Expert in PSS work processes;Responsible for the initial training of the operators on PSS and Lean principles and practices;In 24 hour dialogue, supports in-depth discussion of line performance vs standards (focus on outages);Ensures that all relevant work processes are executed to the standard;Utilizes user feedback, to improve work processes and standards;Analyzes deviations from the target state with the help of the CO reviews, feedback from the operators and observations;Develops standards (DFF, CL,CIL, CO,etc)Is ‘owner‘ for various OE & Training digital systems;Is responsible for guaranteeing the communication between shifts issues and performance;Active exchange with operators regarding ideas and suggestions for improvements;Leads Process Instability and Work Process Failure A3Rs and Coaches line team in Quadrant A for top losses;Assigns owners to A3R’s countermeasures;Leads Kaizen and other improvement workshop events;Tracks actions to ensure they are closed according to the deadlines. Follows up on A3Rs failure modes to ensure they reach zero. Re-opens A3R if necessary;Understands technical principles of manufacturing equipment and digital systems and is proficient in the troubleshooting of both.WHO YOU ARE

Preferred:
BS/BA degree in Engineering, Business, Data Analytics or related field with a minimum of 4 years of experience in OTC, Pharmaceutical or CPG industry as well as other related work experiences e.g. in Operational Excellence or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, Data Analytics or related field with 2 years of experience;8 years of experience;Superior digital aptitude with demonstrated proficiency in digital tools such as PowerBI, PowerApps, Excel, Tulip, SAP, Ignition, etc;Demonstrated proficiency in teaching, training, or coaching complex technical and operational subjects.
