Production Control Engineer - Refinery Scheduler

We are hiring for a Production Control Engineer or Scheduler to provide day-by-day production scheduling and direction to achieve business unit goals for the Commerce City Refinery.

The Production Control Engineer is an important member of the Production Control Group; you will play a key role in the proper management of hydrocarbons in the refinery. You will collaborate with the Commercial group including Crude Purchasing and Scheduling, Crude Pipeline Scheduling and Operations, as well as Refinery Operations and Product Supply to understand current status and potential threats to meeting operating plans.


Minimum Requirements:

Bachelors Degree, preferably in Chemical Engineering

5-10 years refining experience with a strong understanding of refinery and general business economics 

Strong computer skills, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office

Knowledge or experience with SAP would be considered an asset

Ability to balance safety with refinery production

Flexibility and the ability to quickly adjust to constant changes in plans, production and schedules

A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record

Must be legally authorized to work in the USA for the duration of your employment


Responsibilities:

Produce and communicate daily/weekly production schedule

Ensure operating targets meet the refinery production schedule

Update economics intra-month to optimize according to current market and operating conditions

Push to economic constraints on a daily basis

Supervise Blending Operations to ensure inventory levels meet demand

Use financial and quantitative data effectively to make decisions


Location and other Key Details:

You will work out of our Commerce City Refinery Business Centre located at 5455 Brighton Blvd.

Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs

Salary and Compensation Details: 

$120,000 to $155,000 annual salary and an annual incentive (bonus) program; our business professional roles follow internal compensation guidelines and the pay band will generally be based years of experience and scope of work
