Production Control Team Leader - 3rd Shift

Job Summary: 

3rd Shift Production Control Team Leader 

Hours: 11:00pm – 7:30am EST 

Roles and Responsibilities:

Manage day to day Logistics in the warehouse  Responsible for motivating and encouraging associates to participate in teamwork, kaizen completion and other team building/productivity improvement activities.  Responsible for creating and maintaining all work instructions and manuals. Responsible for coordinating the training of new, transferred and temporary Associates.   Maintain on-the-job training records for all Associates. Answer Associate questions, resolves concerns, conducts performance appraisals, administers discipline and is responsible for Associate relations within the department. Ensure parts, tools and supplies are available for daily operations. Oversee equipment to ensure it is functional, in good repair and within safety codes.  May be required to make minor repairs.   Communicate with the Maintenance Department regarding equipment problems, which require additional technical expertise.  Maintain product identification system including control of product identification tags and Control Identification (CID#) system.  Maintain finished goods storage locations.  Ensure that all safety rules are observed.  Ensure compliance with all TS-16949 requirements. Ensure that labor plan goals are met. Ensure all work areas meet 5S standards. Assist Supervisor with analyzing dock audit data and customer shipping concerns. Assist Manager with coordinating available manpower to ensure all PC activities are completed.  Serve as Manager’s backup in his/her absence.  May be required to perform additional duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities:

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to guide others.  Mechanical aptitude.  Knowledge of statistical process control and manufacturing processes.  Basic computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Required Qualifications:

Associate’s degree or High School diploma or equivalent with 2-3 years of experience Mechanical aptitude. Basic computer skills to include Microsoft Word and Excel. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

Previous experience in a leadership role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
