Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a PRODUCTION CONTROLLER, Position Description Number D1255000 and is part of the CO FMS 9, National Guard. Responsibilities The purpose of this position is to perform maintenance production management, to achieve or maintain desired production levels, to serve as an equipment readiness expert for units supported by the facility, and to provide technical guidance and oversight to a lower-graded Production Controller. Establishes plans and schedules for maintenance and repair, using multiple process production methods and procedures for a variety of vehicles and equipment such as combat vehicles, heavy-duty engineering and mobile equipment, tracked vehicles, towed and self-propelled artillery, communications and electronic equipment, guided missile systems, and small arms. Ensures Modified Table of Organization and Equipment (MTO&E) or Table of Distribution and Allowances (TDA) reportable Line Item Numbers (LIN) are properly managed, reported and accounted for with respect to readiness reports, property accountability reports, and system management. Programs workload, shop space, and available personnel on a short and long-term basis. Ensures that unit Class 9 (CL IX) accounts are funded, budgeted, and executed to maximize readiness. Designates and maintains current maintenance priorities by Force Activity Designator, pacing items, Equipment Readiness Codes (ERC) A, B, and C equipment type, available funds, commander's priority, state/national priorities (in the case of floods, fires, and mobilizations), and unit supported. Analyzes repair methods and develops control procedures and policies to assure accomplishment of programs to meet priorities and deadlines established by higher authority or support activities. Provides technical guidance and oversight to a lower-graded Production Controller. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Military Grades: E-4 thru E-8 Compatible military assignment: 92 series MOS or able to obtain in one year of hire date 1. Specialized experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position. 2. It must be documented with "from (mm/yy)" and "to (mm/yy)" dates and description of the specialized experience. You will be immediately disqualified if you fail to include specialized experience in your resume. Must have at least 12 months of Specialized Experience in each of the following: 1. Experience scheduling workflow in more than one area and responsible for coordinating products or materials from support activities. 2. Experience in performing or supervising journeyman level work in a production facility. 3. Experience preparing job or work orders; scheduling various phases of projects into the production facility; following up to see if work is progressing as planned and arranging for adjustments in materials, machine processes, and work sequencing allowing for changes. 4. Experience with current automation support programs to input data, provide status of equipment, and monitor job order status, monitor work priorities, requisition repair parts, track repair parts status, etc. Education Education cannot be substituted for Specialized Experience for this position. Per ARNG-HRH Policy Memorandum #10-39, mandatory Full Time Staff (FTS) training is required within a year of hire as a condition of employment in vacancy announcements for both Technician and Active Guard Reserve positions. Failure of new FTS personnel to complete NGB prescribed courses at PEC within the first year of employment may be cause for reassignment to other full-time positions or termination of their employment. 9.
