PRODUCTION CONTROLLER
Summary This National Guard position is for a PRODUCTION CONTROLLER, Position Description Number D1259000 and is part of the NJ CSMS B, National Guard. The purpose of this position is to plan, schedule, control, and monitor the status of equipment maintenance; and to assist a higher-graded Production Controller. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. Responsibilities As a PRODUCTION CONTROLLER, GS-1152-7, you will: Establish plans, schedules, and controls the maintenance and repair of a variety of vehicles and equipment Conduct initial and long range planning pertaining to routine production processes, mechanical skills Ensures necessary maintenance records are maintained and required reports are submitted to units Authorizes the acceptance of equipment for repair; monitor work priorities, status, and completion of work orders and requisitions Works with other sections within the organization to ensure equipment readiness reports are accurate and submitted in a timely manner Requirements Conditions of Employment Areas of Consideration: AOC III All New Jersey National Guard members within CSMS B. Military Grades: E-4 to E-5 Selectee(s) must be within the military grade(s) listed in this job announcement before the effective date of placement into the technician position. Additional Requirements Participation in direct deposit is mandatory Appointment is contingent upon Federal suitability review and background investigation May be required to successfully complete a probationary period For positions requiring the operation of motor vehicles, candidates must have a valid state driver's license Qualifications GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education or training which indicates the candidate can reason in quantitative terms, communicate orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner, understanding the terminology and data pertaining to repair operations and process characteristics of the production activity. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 12 months experience, education or training working with people from various levels and backgrounds. Experience with a general knowledge of the functions and procedures of production control, records, references, and techniques for developing production control data.
