About This Role
The Training Scheduler is responsible to create and schedule Maintenance courses for customers and schedule instructors into those courses using the instructor qualification matrix. The Training Scheduler confirms that all bookings and schedules are made in compliance with the specific regulatory agency regulations. They works with the Sales Account Managers to make the best scheduling decisions and ensure customer needs and instructor availability. They also meet with assigned Training Manager on a regular basis to review schedules and conflicts.
Key Responsibilities:
Short and long-term planning and scheduling of training requirements to include allocation of training devices, classroom and instructor resources in accordance with the approved course or training profiles, and taking account of Client, Instructor and maintenance requirements.
Day to day adjustments to client, instructor schedules to take account of necessary alterations to the training plan.
Work closely with Sales team to provide training solutions or course options for specific customer requests. Propose potential training dates when none exists on current list of available courses.
Work closely with the Training Managers, Sales Account Managers & Client Service Representatives to meet client training requirements.
Ensure clients are accommodated in a friendly, highly respective manner with specific emphasis on problem solving and client assistance.
Creation of reports of instructor utilization for planning and forecasting purposes.
General customer service support to training centre customers, when required.
Train and assist colleagues on systems as required by your manager from time to time.
Work with team members, colleagues and manager to devise best practice departmental work processes.
Encourage and foster a team working environment to ensure a smooth-running scheduling service.
Any other tasks as discussed with you and such other duties as may be assigned to you by your Manager from time to time.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
2 - 5 years of customer service experience is required, preferably in the aviation industry.
Excellent PC skills, essentially Microsoft Word and Excel.
Good interpersonal skills and excellent telephone manner.
Organized, team player attitude.
Experience in the use of Scheduling Tools desirable.
Experience of the aviation industry and crew scheduling desirable.
