Position Title: Production Controls Technician  

Location: USA-Clawson

Position Overview  

The Vision System Technician is responsible for the set-up, changeovers, maintenance, optimization, and troubleshooting of vision systems within the division.

Primary Responsibilities

Setup and Changeovers: Efficiently set up and perform changeovers of vision systems as required, ensuring smooth transitions between different operational configurations.Maintenance and Calibration: Conduct routine maintenance, calibration, and performance checks on vision systems to ensure accuracy and reliability.Troubleshooting and Diagnostics: Identify and resolve issues with vision systems, employing diagnostic tools and methodologies to troubleshoot problems effectively.System Optimization: Optimize vision systems to enhance performance, accuracy, and efficiency, collaborating with engineering and production teams as needed.Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, maintenance schedules, changeover procedures, and troubleshooting steps.Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users and team members on the operation, changeover, and maintenance of vision systems.Stay Updated: Keep abreast of technological advancements and industry trends in vision systems to recommend and implement improvements.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

Technical or trade degree or relevant certification in relevant field and three to five years of relevant experience OR combination of education and experience.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to think logical and break down a complex issue and gather all pertinent information timely.

Computer skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs, ability to learn in-house systems and operate troubleshooting/calibration devices.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.
