Production Coordinator, Yellow Border Production Management (National Geographic)
The Production Coordinator for National Geographic’s Yellow Border Production Services team is responsible for record-keeping in VPS and Blast, creating new records, and ensuring that the required deliverables for air (titles, descriptions, house codes) are accurate and timely. This position works closely with the Production Manager to create Greenlight and project requests in Blast and coordinate deal memos for Yellow Border productions with Business Affairs and Legal Affairs. This position assists the Production Manager in maintaining pertinent show trackers for Yellow Border. The Production Coordinator’s responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting the Production Manager with logistics and preparation for filming and post-filming completion such as processing invoices, expense reports and coordinating Deliverables. **Primary Responsibilities:** + Assist the Production Manager with coordinating production travel details, including hotel accommodations, vehicle rentals, travel, cash advances, and reconciliation of expense reports. + Prepare expense reports. + Track both video and paper deliverables. + Update episode titles, episode descriptions, and alpha codes for acquisitions and Yellow Border shows in VPS. + Ensure media versions in VPS are accurate with territories and type of special. + Communicate master delivery of Yellow Border shows to appropriate teams. + Coordinate deal memos for Yellow Border shows with Legal Affairs and enter in BLAST. + Create Snap-In and First Look records for Yellow Border shows in VPS. + Provide episode descriptions and screeners to international regions upon request. + Serve as a liaison between Yellow Border and Legal for title clearance requests. + Push Music Cue Sheets to SoundMouse in VPS for all Yellow Border projects. + Communicate and work closely with Production Manager to share info for all trackers and channel requirements. **Basic Qualifications:** + 2+ years’ experience in television production at a network or production company. + Extremely detail-oriented and organized, with a strong ability to manage multiple projects, and appropriately prioritize deadlines and deliverables. + Strong interpersonal communication and writing skills. + Basic computer skills, Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Experience in non-fiction content production is preferred. + Additional languages preferred. The hiring range for this position in Washington, D.C. is $51,120 to $70,290 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
