POSITION SUMMARY:
This role will be responsible for driving output from the cutline department while coordinating with the OEM and daily desk departments. This role will help ensure alignment between groups to process the right material at the right time. Traffic coordination comes secondary and will be driven from the cutline activities. Organizational and time management skills are essential in addition communication and the ability to work with teams. The role will report to the Distribution Supervision.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Review cut line demand and priorities dailySchedule cuts to optimize output while considering daily needs and shipping scheduleCoordinate and regularly communicate with OEM work cells and Daily Desk leadersSelect and contact freight carriers for outbound shipmentsGenerate and provide daily reports to Distribution LeadershipProvide improvement suggestions and work with logistics leadership to implementParticipate in pass downs with all three shifts to ensure cutline department direction is providedAssist with cycle counts, physical inventories, and other inventory control activitiesCommunicates issues, priorities, lead times, etc. to other departments, contributing to overall service levelPerforms other duties assigned by Manager or Supervisor in support of departmental goals.This description will cover most significant duties performed but does not exclude other occasional work assignments not mentioned, the inclusion of which would be in conformity with the factor degrees assigned to this job. This job is designed to encompass a range of concurrent and relatively equal responsibilities.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
