Production Coordinator
Job Title: Production CoordinatorJob Description This position follows the progress of orders through the plant in accordance with requirements indicated on production schedules, and documents progress for purposes of review at the Product Control meetings. Responsibilities + Maintain progress of assigned orders through the plant in accordance with production schedules. + Document progress on tracking sheets for review at Production Control meetings. + Direct delivery of materials from storerooms or other storage areas as required. + Expedite the movement of components between departments to ensure production schedules are maintained. + Interface with production supervisors and project engineers regarding special handling, availability of materials, and changes in promised dates. + Anticipate probable schedule delays and take action to avoid their occurrence. + Expedite materials, parts, tooling, and manufacturing software to maintain production schedules. + Coordinate and resolve shop workstation loading conflicts and locate and move needed materials, parts, and tooling as required. + Maintain part serial numbers, NCM routing listings, and upgrade books for manufacturing and materials on assigned orders. + Ensure on-time shop performance by expediting all departments as required. + Handle a limited range of Document Control Library tasks. Essential Skills + 3+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or coordination. + Experience with ERP systems (Epicor preferred but any ERP system is acceptable). + Intermediate Excel skills (maintaining spreadsheets, data entry). Additional Skills & Qualifications + Production Scheduling + Production Planning + ERP System + Microsoft Excel Work Environment The position is located in a manufacturing facility, with time divided between an office environment (60%) and the production floor (40%). The work hours are Monday to Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The dress code is business casual (jeans are acceptable, closed-toe shoes required). Steel-toe shoes are required when on the production floor. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.44 - $31.25 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
