Overview
The Production Engineer role is responsible for making the production process as efficient as possible and it is a feeder role for future Production Leads and Shift Managers. To be a successful Production Engineer you need to be an independent thinker and a keen problem solver.Production Engineer is accountable for identifying and analyzing ways to prevent waste and inefficiencies within the manufacturing operations. This includes implementing solutions to reduce waste, improve yield and increase TRS while maximizing productivity, labor and equipment utilization.Production Engineer is responsible for leading MSE / CI projects on each shift, creating and deploying OPL’s and work instruction, ensuring the FMOS system requirements are followed. This position is also accountable for measurement and management of shift KPI’s in line with PCH Supply Metrics reporting standards.As a Mars Associate you have an obligation to:

FMOS
Compile production information and develop Daily FMOS Meeting inputsMange and follow up on FMOS meeting outputsManaging the FMOS Tag system for the shiftEnsure Crew Map deployment within each shift based on the Crew Maps deployed for each Value Stream by the Site IE LeadConduct Line Tours with the Shift Manager and review shift performance against established KPI’sSupport Shift Manager to organize team meetingsLeading CI Projects
Deploy and lead the focused improvement projects in the respective shifts with support from Site CI teamRepresent Shift Manager and/or Shift at Focused Improvement Team MeetingsDevelop Safety, Quality and Production OPL’s & Work Instructions
Developing LOTO and Minor Intervention instructions for each piece of equipment with input from Operators and HSEDevelop CCP, OPRP and other quality assurance work instructions and OPL’s with input from Q&FSConduct line tours to monitor Daily Safety Compliance in the shift and report any unsafe operations and practices to the Shift ManagerAssist Shift Manger to investigate any safety incidents that occur during the shiftDevelop operating instructions and equipment specifications for process equipmentReduce Waste & NQC
Compile, analyze and generate reports of floor waste produced on each shiftLead floor waste / NQC reduction initiatives with support from Site CI TeamSupply KPI’s and Metrics Reporting System
Compiling, analyzing and reporting of all downtime and production reports for each shiftManage the write off / NQC documentation for each shiftProblem Solving
Gather data from operators through 5 Why process and assist Operators to define problems that occur during the shiftDevelop problem statements for priority problems and assist Shift Manager to document Problem Solving sessionsFollow up and update on actions that are generated in the Problem Solving sessions.Qualifications
