JOB SUMMARY
Spectrum’s Product and Technology team creates, develops, and operates the nation’s fasters mobile service, most reliable internet service, most viewed live TV app, and the most advanced Wifi, serving nearly 100 million users and 500 million devices. As Production Engineer on the Spectrum TV – Roku team, your role is vital to maintaining the team’s day-to-day operations. The position has direct impact to the overall quality of experience our customers are delivered when using the Spectrum TV app on the Roku platform.


RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Production Engineer III on the Spectrum TV – Roku team, you will be a valued resource that interacts with multiple stakeholders, cross functional teams, and external vendors in your day to day operations. You will be responsible for the following:

Application release efforts for Spectrum TV, SpectrumU, and Spectrum Enterprise apps on RokuOwnership and management of project Git repository and CI/CD practicesDeveloping internal tools to improve team operational efficiencyManagement of hosted application configurationsManagement of A/B experimentation on the platformManagement of in-app promotions within Spectrum TV app on RokuApplication monitoring via multiple analytics servicesOutage triaging and facilitating adhoc customer quality investigations

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO SPECTRUM

Required Qualifications

Experience:Database Management Systems – 1-3+ yearsCoding, testing, and designing software – 1-3+ yearsSoftware Development Methodologies – 1-3+ yearsEducation:BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, related field or equivalent combination of education and experienceTechnical skills:Demonstrated knowledge of one major programming language/toolDemonstrated knowledge of coding language and syntax, usage of functions and object-oriented patternsKnowledge of environments, docker images, container runtimes, and cloud native app developmentKnowledge of dependent systems, e.g., up/downstream APIs, clients, data stores, CI/CD PipelinesKnowledge of design patterns and frameworksSkills:Showcases Project / Feature level work to their team and technical leadershipBasic negotiation skillsExercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate actionAbilities:Ability to read, write, speak, and understand EnglishAbility to work on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factorsAbility to apply company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issuesAbility to work under general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignmentsAbility to break down assigned projects into manageable tasks and completes within a given timeframeAbility to multi-task and prioritize effectively without oversight       Travel Ability:Office EnvironmentSchedule:Full timeThis position is eligible to work in a hybrid work model (combination of in-office and remote days)

The base pay for this position generally is between $78,900.00 and $139,500.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
