Focus: The Production Engineer provides process technical expertise for day-to-day plant operations, ensures the plant is operated within applicable standards, and focuses on process improvements. This role will work closely with other individuals and teams to establish yearly spending plans, production commitments to the business, and productivity savings. In this role you will serve as a technical resource to assist teams on daily operations and process performance to run a low cost, on specification, reliable, optimized operation in a safe environmentally friendly manner.
Production Engineer Essential Job Functions:
Performs engineering analysis and calculations and assists with plant troubleshooting and implementation of production/maintenance needs. Works with Technical Advising and plant personnel to optimize operations to meet Business and plant goals. Provides leadership and direction in the day-to-day decision making for the operating area of responsibility. Participates when required in advanced trouble shooting and coaches others to learn these skills and ensures. findings are documented for future usage. Leads or participates in Process Hazard Analysis (PHA’s), Pre-Start-up Safety Review (PSSR’s), in process commissioning and start-up activities and in Operator training efforts for new operators and new installations. Writes area operating procedures as needed and ensure existing procedures are current, accurate and complete. Shares on call responsibilities with other plant personnel and helps coordinate area of responsibility during planned shutdown and maintenance activities.Production Engineer Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree* in Engineering; Chemical or Mechanical Engineering discipline preferred. Degree must be completed by May 31, 2025. 1+ years of experience in a direct manufacturing plant environment preferred. Must have an overall grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale upon completion of degree. Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting, operations support, and collaboration in a team environment. Demonstrated use of pulling and analyzing data to spot abnormalities. Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills – verbal and written. Must be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).Strong Careers Grow Here
