Production Engineer
Job Title: Production EngineerJob Description We are seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing Process Optimization Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maximizing production efficiency by analyzing process flows, downtime, scrap reports, and capacity studies. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement, implement new technologies, and enhance existing processes. Responsibilities + Become the go-to authority on machine functionality and part processes within your assigned area. + Investigate existing manufacturing equipment to identify safety, quality, efficiency, and layout improvements. + Ensure manufacturing processes meet capability requirements through statistical analysis of dimensional inspections. + Lead root cause analysis to address equipment concerns and recurring issues. + Drive New Model activities, including equipment installation, production trials, customer approval, and technical training. + Work closely with external contractors and internal stakeholders. + Support the development and implementation of new technologies. + Interface with machines through PLC, HMI, NC, or Robot controllers to maintain and modify programs. + Troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed. + Innovate and devise methods for efficiency improvement and cost reduction. + Develop compelling presentations using graphs and charts to convey complex information. + Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization. + Manage business plan projects and maintain documentation. + Design jigs, fixtures, or tooling using software like Catia. + Operate 3D printers. + Modify plant layouts in AutoCAD. + May manage direct reports. + Maintain a high level of housekeeping (COP) in the work area. + Provide leadership and support to improve working conditions, safety, quality, productivity, and cost. You will work with advanced manufacturing technologies and tools, including PLCs, HMIs, NC, and Robot controllers. The role involves collaboration with both internal and external teams, and you may be required to manage direct reports. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.44 - $31.25/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
