Production Engineer
**Job Overview:** Responsible for managing project discipline assigned (Structural, Piping, Mechanical, and E&I) between members of the operations support groups, throughout project phases since detail design, fabrication, offshore, installation, and hook-up to complete the project on schedule & within the budget. **Key Tasks and Responsibilities:** • Review Project Documents including SOW, Project specifications, drawings, schedules, requirements, and deliverables • At Project commencement, review the fabrication schedule and suggest improvements to the planning team • Prepare SOW and task listing • Participate during constructability review and identify any special item or subcontract service required • Review bulk (including top-up) materials procurement process and prepare material purchase list • Review Material Take Off (MTO) and requisitions, highlight any shortages to Procurement/ Project /Team • Review weekly materials report to ensure and raises problems on material delivery • Initiates site queries to utilize available material (substitutions) • Define and calculate the Productivity Factor • Prepare Work Pack Index and update as necessary • Approve relevant fabrication drawings and review work pack deliveries in accordance with the work pack index and ensure the work pack issuing schedule • Develop a Work Pack issuing schedule • Ensure materials, fabrication, and installation are in accordance with the specifications and drawings • Manage Materials movements within the yard including drop off • Ensure the weighing for the activities is according to Global procedure or create a new one if is not considered • Report weekly fabrication progress and monitor production man-hours, analyze the results, and define an action plan with involved areas • Monitor progress, MH, and productivity of the fabrication and erection activities and highlight concerns raised • Resolve any fabrication issues occur in fabrication and highlight them to the people concerned • Review 4 weeks of Look Ahead (4WLA) plans and identifies constraints (material/drawings) • Attend production meetings and report concern • Monitor scope changes and issue revision orders to the yard personnel for any works performed outside the original Scope of Work (SOW)/ change of the SOW • Coordinate any subcontract scope • Review as-built drawings • Prepare and monitor punch lists • Provide field guidance and ensure compliance with company specification • Coordinate with the Mechanical Completion Team in preparing and clearing any construction punch list items and testing requirements • Coordinate with corresponding areas so procedures are issued in a timely/ all parties understand any change • Support Production Engineering & Estimating providing inputs to the bids and historical data from the projects • Support and enforce the implementation of safe working practices (including participating and encouraging BBSM) • High Quality and productivity standards and compliance with the code of business conducts • Attend/Provide training and feedback/improvements as required • Review & Understand Policies and Yard Procedures • Define Annual Goals for Their Direct Reports • Mentor/coach the new personnel to develop them so they can achieve the profile of the position assigned **Essential Qualifications and Education:** • Engineer degree (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial, Oil Engineering or related validated by experience) • 3-5 years in Petrochemical and/or oil & gas industry • Effective Management & Communication, Teamwork, Negotiation Skills, Planning, Project Management, Leadership • English Language Intermediate-Advanced oral & written desirable **Preferred Qualifications:** • Problem and decision-making skills • Good performance under pressure • Naviswork • Technical proficiency with Microsoft application • PMI/PMBook knowledge • Constructivism • SPMAT • Oracle • Allocation of materials tools \#LI-RM1 Our ingenuity fuels daily life.
