Job Description We're hiring a Production Engineer to join our Lake Charles, LA manufacturing site. As a Production Engineer, you will report to the Technical Manager and be responsible for providing unit support through troubleshooting unit process and driving continuous improvement projects around production, quality, and yields. Responsibilities + Uses Six Sigma tools to identify and drive productivity projects (rate, improve quality, optimize materials usage, and fixed cost reductions…) + Executes and tracks productivity projects. + Supports troubleshooting of process/ production issues. + Supports product/process trials. + Owns and drives quality tracking and improvement projects. + Manages & improves area operator critical control plans / data visualization. + Supports materials variance tracking (materials usage). + Execute Management of Change (MOCs) + Participate in Process Hazard Analysis (PHAs) and support closure of action items. + Audit Critical Life Safety procedures. + Support shipment sample release process. + Supports month-end closing processes and customer interactions (complaints, audits & onsite visits) + Supports & facilitates RCAs / PLA (Production Loss Analysis) + Support quality or incident investigations as needed through data sourcing analysis. + Participates in Responsible Care and PSM audits. + Supports ISO 9001 certification and quality management system compliance. + Supports production forecasting. + First Pass Quality Tracking, AML creation, Enablon entries for FPQ misses. Physical Requirements and Environment + Must be willing to wear PPE (Personal Protective equipment) including but not limited to hard hat, protective eyewear, steel-toed boots, hearing protection, Level A suit, full face respirator + Must be able to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb stairs and ladders over 100 ft. + Ability to follow safety protocols and standards working in a laboratory environment with highly hazardous materials Required Qualifications + B. S. degree in Chemical Engineering or another engineering discipline. + 2-4+ years of experience in process, production and/or manufacturing engineering within the chemical or petrochemical industrial manufacturing environment. + Proficient in MS Office suite applications. + Strong communication skills. + Detail oriented. + Team player. + Self-starter.
