Position Overview:

As a Production Engineer at our company, you'll play a crucial role in bridging the gap between engineering design and practical production needs. You'll be instrumental in deciphering intricate data from our factory floor, navigating technical drawings and bills of material, and transforming these insights into actionable instructions and redline recommendations. Your daily collaboration with production shop personnel, Quality Assurance inspectors, and customer resident inspectors will ensure the seamless execution of production orders and the alignment of design specifications with manufacturing realities. Success in this role hinges on your attention to detail, ownership of tasks within a team environment, and your proactive approach to problem-solving. By leveraging a growth mindset, you'll contribute directly to our mission of operational excellence, positioning Siemens as a leader on the Fortune World's Most Admired Companies list. Travel will be required to Sacramento, CA for several weeks of training on products and processes that will be used in the new production environment in Lexington.

What your day-to-day will look like:

Provide engineering-based solutions for production-related issues by applying industry standards, approved processes, root cause analysis, and best engineering practices.Partner with Design and Production Engineers at the Siemens Sacramento, CA facility to provide engineering solutions and recommendations.Available to travel to Siemens Sacramento for training on new products and processes.Perform engineering evaluations on deviation requests and provide either justification for use or repair procedures when applicable.

To thrive in this role, you have:

Experience in mechanical systems design, manufacturing, and fabricationProficiency in creating work instructions and presenting designs for reviewsSkilled in PTC CREO CAD software or similar 3D modeling toolsFamiliarity with PTC Windchill or similar Product Lifecycle Management software (PLM)Knowledge of interpreting engineering drawings and bills of materials (BOM)Ability to collaborate effectively with factory workers, suppliers, and customersExperience with corrosion protection methods such as paint, powder coat, and anodizing

Education:

Bachelor's degree in related field (Mechanical or Industrial/Manufacturing preferred)Associate Degree in related field with 5 or more years of similar work experience

The salary may be higher or lower depending on the budget and the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
