TA Instruments is hiring a Production Engineering Technician that will have the opportunity to support our Thermal Instrument manufacturing, testing, and continuous improvement programs. In this position you will work closely with Manufacturing Engineers to troubleshoot and resolve problems, implement product or process changes, and drive documentation practices to ensure product quality standards are maintained.

State of the art manufacturing facility Paid vacation time, paid sick time, and paid holidaysAll benefits begin day 1Tuition reimbursementTeam environmentCompetitive pay Responsibilities Provides first line support to manufacturing floor for Thermal Analysis products, focusing on DSCProvides guidance and direction to Manufacturing Technicians and Assemblers, assisting with troubleshooting of non-routine problemsProcesses and reviews internal quality reports (Trackwise QRs) with goal of problem resolution and minimization of reoccurrenceInvestigates and responds to external product complaints; analyzes complaint data to understand trends and problem frequencies for prioritization of longer term solutionsConducts or collaborates with others to conduct tests and failure analysisAssists Manufacturing Technicians with analyzing/reviewing test failuresMakes recommendations for resolution of problemsWorks closely with Manufacturing Engineers in proving out cost reductions by evaluating and testing engineering changes, reviewing material alternatives, etc.Reviews materials on hand and makes recommendations for disposition of existing inventoryFollows changes through the manufacturing process to ensure that changes are properly documented and procedures are updatedDevelops test procedures to support changesMay interface with vendors on material design/quality issues Qualifications Minimum of an Associate's degree at an accredited post-secondary school in electronics, engineering, engineering technology, or closely related technical field; or equivalent combination of education and experience3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environmentKnowledge of TA Thermal product line is preferredKnowledge of PC-based instrument control and data analysisAbility to think critically and resolve issues and non-routine problemsMust be able to work independently and in team environmentAbility to organize and prioritize work activities and to handle multiple projects simultaneously
