Production Floor Supervisor Job Details Job Location Ohserase Manufacturing - HOGANSBURG, NY Position Type Full Time Salary Range $29.00 Hourly Job Shift Any Job Category Manufacturing Description Position: Production Floor Supervisor Department:Ohserase Manufacturing Location:Akwesasne, NY Status:Full-Time Reports to:Planning and Scheduling Manager JOB SUMMARY The Production Floor Supervisor at Ohserase Manufacturing LLC is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations on the production floor, ensuring efficient, safe, and quality-driven manufacturing processes. This role involves managing a team of production workers, maintaining adherence to production schedules, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. The supervisor will uphold company integrity, quality, and safety standards when manufacturing finished products and will always prioritize customer satisfaction. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Supervision and Leadership (35%) · Supervise, lead, and motivate production workers, ensuring adherence to work instructions and safety guidelines. · Assign tasks and manage workflows to meet production goals and schedules. · Provide training and development opportunities to team members to ensure proficiency in their roles. · Encourage teamwork and a positive work environment to drive productivity and morale.. Production Monitoring (30%) · Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and production targets. · Troubleshoot production issues and resolve obstacles to maintain a smooth workflow. · Ensure equipment is properly maintained, clean, and operational, reporting any issues to maintenance. · Adjust work processes to improve efficiency and minimize downtime.. Safety and Compliance (20%) · Enforce company safety policies and procedures, conducting regular safety audits and addressing potential hazards. · Ensure compliance with industry regulations, including environmental and workplace safety standards. · Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections to minimize workplace incidents. · Ensure that all production team members adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.. Quality Control (15%) · Ensure products meet quality standards and specifications through regular inspections and process checks. · Work closely with the quality control team to identify and resolve quality-related issues or defects. · Implement corrective actions when quality issues arise to minimize defects and waste. · Encourage a quality-focused culture within the production team. QUALIFICATIONS · High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or relevant certification in manufacturing or production management preferred. · 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a manufacturing environment. · Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, and quality control methods. · Familiarity with production management software and systems (e.g., ERP or MES systems). · Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. · Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. · Knowledge of safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment. · Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and overtime if needed. PHYSCAL REEQUIREMENTS · Ability to stand and walk for extended periods in a production environment. · Must be able to lift, carry, and move objects up to 50 pounds. · Frequent bending, twisting, and reaching required for machine operation and inspections. · Ability to operate machinery and hand tools as necessary. · Exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and industrial chemicals. · Ability to respond quickly in case of production issues or safety incidents.
