**Production Laborer** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Production Laborer to join our team. This role involves physically demanding tasks, such as hand stacking concrete blocks, grinding concrete blocks, and feeding blocks onto a conveyor. The position is fast-paced and requires a high level of physical fitness and self-motivation. **Responsibilities** + Hand stack concrete blocks weighing between 20-70lbs. + Grind concrete blocks to achieve a polished finish and smooth texture. + Feed blocks onto a conveyor to be tumbled and then manually offload and stack the product onto a pallet. + Quality inspect concrete blocks for chips or cracks after they come out of the kiln. + Discard defective products into a scrap bin weighing between 40-90lbs. + Perform lockout and tagout procedures under supervision and assist with general machine and shop maintenance. + Change out molds and colors, sweep and shovel gravel, and clean under the conveyor belt. + Stand on a production line checking concrete blocks for extended periods. + Fill bags with dirt and palletize them in the Bag Plant. + Lift and stack 50-70lb bags of sand on the Tube Sand line. + Maintain a clean work environment by sweeping and cleaning up gravel. + Work quickly and efficiently to meet production quotas, with performance monitored by the number of pallets completed each day. **Essential Skills** + General production experience + Stacking and loading + Forklift operation + Manufacturing + Ability to meet production quotas and handle repetitive tasks + Mechanical aptitude and maintenance skills + Lockout and tagout procedures + Safety mindset + Experience with concrete, construction, maintenance, farming, or landscaping + Ability to lift heavy objects (50-70lbs) **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Background in manufacturing or physical labor + Mechanical aptitude, preferred for future operator roles + Reliable and capable of performing physically demanding tasks **Why Work Here?** We offer competitive starting wages with potential for rapid pay increases within the first year. The work environment can be cold in winter and hot during summer. As a pre-mix concrete plant, the workspace can get messy and dusty. The role is physically demanding and requires lifting heavy objects for extended periods. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
