**Job Title: Production Laborer** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Production Laborer to join our team. This role involves working in a fast-paced and physical environment, handling concrete blocks, and ensuring the quality of our products. The position requires working early morning shifts from Monday to Thursday, with additional hours on Fridays as needed. **Responsibilities** + Hand stacking concrete blocks weighing between 20-70lbs. + Grinding concrete blocks to achieve a polished finish and smooth texture. + Feeding blocks onto a conveyor for tumbling, then manually offloading and stacking the product onto pallets. + Performing quality inspection (QI) on concrete blocks to check for chips or cracks. + Discarding defective products into scrap bins weighing between 40-90lbs. + Assisting with general machine and shop maintenance, including lockout and tagout procedures under supervision. + Changing out molds and colors, sweeping, and shoveling gravel. + Cleaning under conveyor belts and ensuring the cleanliness of the work area. + Filling bags with dirt, tying, and palletizing them, along with sweeping and cleaning up gravel. + Working on the Tube Sand line, lifting and palletizing 50-70lb bags of sand. **Essential Skills** + General production and stacking experience. + Loading and forklift operation. + Experience in manufacturing and meeting production quotas. + Mechanical aptitude and maintenance skills. + Knowledge of lockout and tagout safety procedures. + Experience working with concrete, construction, and farm work. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in manufacturing or physical labor is ideal. + Mechanical aptitude is highly valued for potential advancement to operator roles. + Reliable and capable of handling repetitive and monotonous tasks. **Why Work Here?** We offer competitive starting wages with potential for significant pay increases within 6 months to a year. The environment can be cold in the winter and hot during the summer. As a pre-mix concrete plant, it can also be messy and dusty.
