Job Description

 

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the role will be responsible for the general cleaning and housekeeping of production and other areas for IKO Calgary facility.  This includes assisting the production and maintenance department in maintaining the building, keeping them clean and organized. Most of the work will be done indoors, with some outdoor duties.

 

Responsibilities:

Adhering to safety policies, programs, proceduresGeneral cleaning and housekeeping duties of manufacturing and storage facilityOperating cleaning equipment in accordance with standard work instructionsOperating counterbalance, propane-powered forkliftAdditional duties as assigned

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:

Minimum 1 year experience in heavy-industrial manufacturing or construction industry preferredMinimum 1 year of proven forklift operating experience preferredComfortable standing for extended periods of timeManual dexterity and attention to detailAbility to follow direction and specific instructionsGood communication skills; Fluent in English - Reading, Writing and SpeakingMust be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds on a routine basisMust be able to walk and/or stand 90% of the shiftMust be able to work at heights and in confined spaces
