Production Lead
**Job Title: Production Lead** **Job Description** As a Production Lead, you will be responsible for assigning daily team duties, ensuring compliance with work instructions and specifications, maintaining material availability for manufacturing processes, and ensuring accuracy of data recorded on production sheets and in the local ERP system. **Responsibilities** + Communicate cross-functionally with other departments to ensure necessary resources (materials and paperwork) are available when needed. + Execute manufacturing priorities as determined by supervision and monitor job activity to ensure adherence to the production schedule. + Communicate and update the team when adjustments to the schedule are required. + Work effectively with individuals of diverse backgrounds and opinions throughout the organization. + Delegate work assignments, matching responsibility to the person, and provide recognition for results. + Focus on solving conflict without blaming, maintain confidentiality, listen to others without interrupting, and remain open-minded. + Prioritize and plan work activities, use time efficiently, and communicate concerns regarding schedule disruptions to the production supervisor. + Meet productivity standards, complete work in a timely manner, strive to increase productivity, and work efficiently. + Execute scheduling plans and production priorities through day-to-day allocation of labor resources. + Provide effective hands-on training for new and existing team members and ensure proper documentation of training. + Interpret and enforce company policies and applicable regulations to workers, escalating repetitive infractions to the production supervisor. + Maintain the cleanliness of the facility and ensure a safe work environment for team members. + Provide feedback to the production supervisor on the performance of production team members. + Monitor the work area for neat appearance and organization of tools, materials, and paperwork (5S). + Ensure accuracy of material transacting of input materials, work in process, scrap, and finished goods to ensure proper inventory count quantities and lot traceability. + Report all labor documentation, assign hourly efficiencies, and monitor all production runs to ensure that work orders are filled out and accounted for properly. + Ensure accurate completion of all production documentation and paperwork, including adherence to good documentation practices (GDP). + Maintain KANBAN quantities for the “Pull” system. + Perform first piece and in-line inspection of material, as needed. + Accurately use measuring equipment such as micrometers and calipers. **Essential Skills** + Production supervision + Safety management + Continuous improvement + Quality inspection + Blueprint reading + Task delegation + Production and quality task performance + Documentation maintenance + Lean manufacturing + Micrometer usage + Caliper usage **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High School completion or equivalent + Business or technical training or experience desired + Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) + Ability to utilize and navigate ERP systems **Why Work Here?** Join a stable and growing company that is the industry leader in manufacturing wire for the medical device industry.
