Purpose Statement
The Equipment Owner III, as part of the production leadership team, is responsible for the assigned line results. The Equipment Owner III is responsible for implementing assigned line operating standards and analyzing the data to identify and prioritize loss elimination. This position supports the Process Owner and coordinates the daily tasks of 10 to 15 Associates; trains, coaches, and recommends other actions for the group as appropriate; facilitates two-way communications; operates production equipment when required; and is responsible for carrying out the directions of the Process Owner.

Associate Safety Food Safety & Quality Centerline completion and improvements for assigned line Clean Inspect & Lubrication completion and improvements for assigned line Troubleshoots and perform minor equipment repairs Yield Labor Efficiency of assigned line Stops MTBF Overall Efficiency of assigned equipment Change Overs targets and improvement Standard work execution 6S
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DECISIONS
As part of the Production Leadership team, assists the line trio to deliver Safety, Quality, Cost, Production and Engagement results. Ensure all associates follow all safety and food safety and quality standards. Analyze assigned line data and work with the line trio and production leaders to prioritize identify gaps, trends and prioritize loss elimination. Assist in the implementation of operation standards. Ensure that Equipment Owner II & I along with Associates understand and follow these standards. Ensures that Standard work, 6S and Quick changeover standards are being followed. Support the AM implementation of their line and develop the capabilities of their equipment owners. Coach equipment owner II & I along with production associates and provide regular feedback on their development needs. Monitoring of assigned line’s productivity metrics and product quality. Participates as a part of the Production Leadership team on the Kaizen events and ensures cost saving opportunities are sustained. Knowledge, Skills, and Experience HS degree or GED required; BA/BS degree in Business, Supply Chain Operations, Food Science, Engineering, or related field preferred. 2 years’ experience in a food-processing, pharmaceutical or chemical manufacturing organization, preferably using computerized manufacturing equipment. Working knowledge of FDA regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), sanitation processes/procedures and HACCP Demonstrated understanding of production scheduling and other production variables such as run-rates, processing times, change-over times, etc. Demonstrated knowledge of efficient and safe manufacturing operations to include product and associate safety, OSHA standards, product quality (success rates), throughput delivery and cost control (minimizing downtime and waste, optimizing yield) Demonstrated ability to direct, coach, and train associates as well as plan, monitor and schedule work. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Demonstrated mechanical and spatial aptitude, including the ability to disassemble and reassemble equipment. Demonstrated ability to formulate and understand complex mathematical equations. Proficient using Microsoft 365 – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PowerBi, and outlook. Proficient in using SAP Production system.

Moderate degree of physical activity on a frequent basis Must be able to lift 50bs. Repetitive standing, walking, bending, twisting, stooping, grasping, climbing, reaching, and moving about the facility. Hearing ability to meet manufacturing facility safety requirements. Works in high noise area and wears the appropriate hearing protection. Vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception.
