**Job Title: Production Machine Operator**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a dedicated Production Machine Operator to join our dynamic team in a packaging manufacturing company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the assembly line, ensuring all processes are followed correctly, and training other general production employees. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow into a permanent machine operator role.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate production machines and oversee the manufacturing line.
+ Teach and train other general production employees on correct procedures.
+ Rotate positions to ensure cross-training among team members.
+ Build pallets according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
+ Load and unload products efficiently.
+ Work collaboratively in a team environment with 3-4 people in each cell.
+ Ensure adherence to all manufacturing processes.
**Essential Skills**
+ 1+ year experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
+ Experience with machine operation on production lines.
+ Ability to work in a team environment.
+ Strong understanding of pallet building SOPs.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with hand tools and forklift operation.
+ Inspection and quality control experience.

**Work Environment**
This position is within a packaging manufacturing company that produces various types of paper and wax paper for the food industry. The work environment includes rotating shifts with the following hours: 1st shift: 7am-3:10pm, 2nd shift: 3pm-11:10pm, and 3rd shift: 11pm-7:10am. Compensation varies by shift, with true machine operators starting at a higher rate. The facility emphasizes teamwork and adherence to safety and quality standards.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of WESTFIELD, Massachusetts.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $18.00/hr.
