“A Day in the Life”

You will be in a manager role with broad management, renovation, construction and production skills that will oversee the areas of modular building modification and construction.  In addition, you will work closely with the Inventory Center Manager to ensure timely delivery of product to our customers and achieving and maintaining efficiencies in production.  As the Production Manager you will ensure safety, quality, code compliance, training, and individual and team performance.  You will combine direct leadership with project management.  You will interface with other Inventory Center departments, Operations, and the Sales team.  In this position you will have responsibility for production supervisors, subcontractors and construction workers in a production environment.

Deliver quality modular construction projects on time and on budgetContinue to develop a safety first work cultureManage multiple construction groups working on multiple modifications or repairs on modular buildingsOversee and supervise all construction activitiesMaintain construction schedule and material flow, identify and solve problems.Ensure code and quality compliance of completed work in accordance with appropriate UBC, IBC, NEC, ADA and Fire, Life and Safety complianceContinue to develop a positive and efficient work environmentLead the LEAN initiatives to improve efficiencies in the work environmentDevelop and maintain relationships with other managers and departments to support a cohesive team environment to serve the customerDevelop employees to be ready to step into key positions, supervisory, and management rolesDeliver company policy training and safety training sessions

 

“Must Haves”

Management of projects and peopleKnowledge of Building Code and construction methodsPrior experience in construction, remodeling, renovation or repairs and modifications to buildings, interior/exterior a plusKnowledge of construction trades:  Carpentry, Electrical, Plumbing and HVACExperience reading blue prints and or doing project estimatesProject management of projects lasting from one day to three months.Prior experience implementing LEAN projects and other efficiency related methodologiesExcellent ability to prioritize and adjust schedules and instill a sense of urgency in team membersComputer literate with computer skills in MS OfficeBS degree or equivalent work experience of 5 or more years of experience in managing projects and people in a construction environment3 or more years of work experience prior to management in a construction or related environmentDemonstrated ability to coach and counsel other workers in a positive mannerBilingual (Spanish) preferred, not required
