Production Manager
**Job Description:** **Overview:** The Production Manager is responsible for ensuring employee safety, product quality, regulatory compliance, adherence to production schedules, inventory levels, and production output in the CNC, Surface Treatment, and Packaging areas. **Key Responsibilities:** + **Daily Production Performance:** Oversee safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity. + **Continuous Improvement:** Drive EBS in CNC, Surface Treatment, and Packaging to enhance Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Innovation. + **Compliance:** Ensure all employees follow SOPs, especially regarding Safety, Environmental, and Quality System compliance. + **Issue Resolution:** Investigate non-conforming materials, CAPAs, and customer complaints. + **Employee Morale:** Maintain high morale within the CNC, Surface Treatment, and Packaging teams, understand associate survey results, and address employee concerns. + **Talent Management:** Attract, select, and hire the most qualified employees. + **Process Improvement:** Continuously seek ways to improve product quality, reduce lead time, and cut costs. + **Budget Management:** Establish and manage expense and capital spending budgets. + **Collaboration:** Work closely with Engineering to maintain equipment and introduce new products on time. + **Strategic Planning:** Collaborate with the Plant Manager and staff to set objectives, develop strategies, solve problems, establish the kaizen funnel, and respond to market changes. **Supervisory Responsibilities:** + Directly supervise Machine Center supervisors. + Responsibilities include training, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, ensuring compliance, and solving problems. **Job Requirements:** + **Critical Knowledge and Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent. Additional education (e.g., master’s program) is a plus. + Strong knowledge of CNC Machining and mechanical background. + Knowledge of automation equipment and principles. + Working knowledge of medical device regulations. + **Critical Skills/Technical Know-How:** + Excel in teamwork within the group and with peer groups. + Solid verbal and written communication skills. + A sense of urgency. + **Critical Experience:** + Minimum of 7 years of experience in a supervisory role with non-exempt, hourly employees. + 5 years of experience in machining processes is a plus. + Experience in a regulated medical device environment and clean room experience is a plus. **Target Market Salary Range:** Actual compensation packages take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location; skill sets; relevant education and certifications; depth of experience; performance; and other business and organizational needs.
