Production Manager

This role is responsible for managing the people, equipment, and raw materials in the production of products that meet safety, service, quality, and cost targets and provide a competitive advantage to the business.

What You Will Do:

Manage: Vision for the production departmentEstablish and execute manufacturing Objectives, Goals, Strategies, and Measures (OGSM), in alignment with Ecolab strategiesCoach, train, and inspire production team leaders & production staffAs a manager of people leaders, you will lead by example and coach your direct reports on leadership techniques that will help them grow and develop, not only themselves, but their own teamsDrive engagement through effective and timely communication and recognition within the team.Maximize use of labor and equipment to deliver schedule adherence. Recognition, prevention, and escalation of production non-conformances and implementation of corrective actions.RCA’s performed and root causes are corrected.Budget for departmentCommunication for the departmentCooperate with EH&S, Quality Control (QC), Maintenance, Planning, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), & HRSafety: Maintain a safe work environmentEvolve the manufacturing safety culture with a goal of zero accidentsEnsure production follows regulatory, safety, and environmental standardsReporting of near Misses and IncidentsQuality: Ensure products meet all quality specificationsTPM: Collaborate with TPM (CI) to reduce lossesCommitment and execution of the TPM pillars with the goal of improvement of Safety, Quality, Productivity, Maintenance, and 5SAttend/Lead KPI meetings to address production requirements

 

Position Details:

Plant location: Garland, TX Chemical Manufacturing Plant

Work week and shift: Mon-Fri (some weekends) 6am-4pm/flexible work to support other shifts as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree OR High School Diploma plus 4 years’ relevant experience

Prior experience working in a leadership role with direct reports

Prior project management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain or other related field, strongly preferred

4 years' experience within a chemical or highly regulated industry, strongly preferred

5 years’ experience working in a leadership role with direct reports, strongly preferred

2 years’ project management experience, strongly preferred

Experience applying TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) in a manufacturing environment, strongly preferred

Strong computer literacy in MS Office Suite

SAP Experience

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities  

Ability to collaborate and work as part of a team

Ability to prioritize and organize work

Strong written and verbal communication skills
