Production Manager
Ensuring Chart’s Success…

The Chart Production Manager position plays a key role in the manufacturing process of Chart’s Fiberglass Fan Blades. This position will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Fans department including managing the production processes and staff associated with them. This role will be critical in ensuring that Chart achieves key metrics around on time delivery, quality, safety and efficiency.

What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…

•    Manage the Production Scheduling and coordination of activities within the respective group
•    Initiate inter-departmental collaboration to meet production proficiencies and quality objectives
•    Oversee Production Processes and guide personnel on production plans, schedules and key metrics
•    Develop/implement process improvements and cost reduction initiatives
•    Provide leadership to achieve positive moral, production efficiencies, adherence to company policies, production timelines while maintaining high levels of quality and safety
•    Ensure implementation and adherence to health and safety guidelines/procedures/standards
•    Collaborate with Engineering on design, new product development, equipment specifications, appropriate documentation.
•    Investigate production issues and develop resolutions
•    Assist in employee recruitment, performance evaluations, discipline, succession programs and retention
•    Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
 

Your Education Should Be…

•    High School Graduate 
•    Previous Production leadership experience
•    Business Management/Project Management experience
 

Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…

•    Lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs.
•    Frequent sitting, standing, stooping, bending, twisting, walking and occasional crawling
•    Frequent pushing, pulling and handling of material
•    Occasional climbing and working at elevated positions
•    Repetitive hand movements
 

Your Professional Experience Should Be…

•    5+ years of manufacturing supervisory experience
•    8+ years production/manufacturing processes and techniques experience
•    Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
•    Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
•    Experience with JD Edwards (preferred) or other ERP systems
Industry specific preferred experience:
•    Knowledge of fiberglass and or fiberglass manufacturing 
•    Maintenance of manufacturing equipment
•    Electrical troubleshooting 
•    Understand of PLC’s and controls
