Lead and supervise daily machining operations to ensure efficiency and productivity while maintaining accountability Lead, train, and develop a team of machinists, promoting a positive work environment Monitor production schedules and adjust workloads to meet deadlines and targets Ensure adherence to safety practices and protocols in the machining area Analyze machining processes and implement continuous improvement initiatives Conduct regular performance evaluations for team members and provide constructive feedback Collaborate with quality assurance to assess and maintain product quality standards Work with team to coordinate and implement improvement activities Implement and verify corrective actions Gather and summarize performance data Promote, follow, and help establish standard work Lead by exampleCompetencies:
Proven experience in a machining environment with a focus on CNC lathes and/or milling experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory role. Strong understanding of machining processes, tools, and equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Skilled in problem-solving, conflict resolution and decision-making under pressure. Knowledge of safety standards and regulations within a manufacturing setting. Familiarity with ISO and lean manufacturing principles.
