Production Manager
The Production Manager will oversee the production department, including, but not limited to, scheduling and resource allocation, staff management and quality control, while ensuring that jobs are produced on time within the quality standards our valued customers have come to expect. The Production Manager will supervise and direct Production Supervisors and Technicians while ensuring that planned manufacturing processes run reliably and efficiently, by providing timely work direction, training and guidance. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: + Leads and manages the production team, ensuring a safe, efficient, and productive work environment. + Supervises and works with Streamline Production Supervisors on the hiring, training, disciplinary and review processes of employees who work in Heavy and Light assembly. + Develops and implements production schedules, ensuring optimal resource allocation to meet customer demands and deadlines. + Monitors production processes and workflows, identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and quality. + Collaborates with engineering and design teams to ensure manufacturability of new products and effective transitions from design to production. + Analyzes production metrics and prepares reports on performance, quality, and efficiency for upper management. + Provides training and development opportunities for team members to enhance skills and promote a culture of continuous improvement. + Plans, directs and coordinates manufacturing and assembly processes and schedules. + Oversees quality to ensure all jobs are inspected and tested + Assures daily compliance with appropriate safety practices and procedures as well as company ISO procedures. + Monitors and reviews the production schedule and job orders to make decisions concerning inventory and staffing requirements. + Assesses cost effectiveness of products, projects or services, tracking actual costs to quoted costs as the project develops, including review of material and labor requirements. + Coordinates and recommends procedures for facility and equipment maintenance. + Ensures compliance with safety regulations and quality standards throughout the production process. + Performs other related duties as required and assigned. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: + Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field with 5-10 years’ experience in production management within the machinery or manufacturing industry. + Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including both high-mix/low-volume and low-mix/high-volume production. + Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team. + Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail. + Proficient in production management software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
