**Job Title: Production Supervisor** **Job Description** The Production Supervisor is responsible for managing all aspects of the shop floor, which includes multiple small departments. This individual oversees workforce operations, ensures safety and productivity, and maintains compliance with company policies and goals. **Responsibilities** + Manage daily operations on the shop floor, overseeing multiple departments to meet production goals. + Establish and maintain a safe, healthy, and productive work environment. + Counsel subordinates, applying progressive discipline as necessary, in alignment with company policies. + Track materials required for jobs, ensuring availability and procurement as needed. + Facilitate and oversee monthly inventory processes, maintaining accuracy and completeness. + Utilize shop floor ERP software for monitoring production and inventory. + Prepare and maintain reports using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet-based tools. + Ensure routine maintenance of equipment is completed and a clean, orderly facility is maintained. + Train new hires to ensure alignment with company standards and expectations. + Promote team collaboration and encourage a high-performance culture among subordinates. + Demonstrate a strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshoot production or equipment issues. + Provide excellent verbal and written communication with internal and external stakeholders. + Maintain regular, consistent attendance and remain flexible to work overtime as needed. **Essential Skills** + High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred. + Minimum of 5 years in a supervisory role in a manufacturing or production environment. + Strong mechanical aptitude with problem-solving capabilities. + Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and ERP systems. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in welding, machining, and automated equipment is highly desired. + Managerial and leadership certifications from verifiable continuing education institutions are strongly desired. **Why Work Here?** We offer a collaborative work environment where team members are valued and encouraged to contribute to a high-performance culture.
