Production Manager
Job Type: Full Time, Exempt
Who You Are:
You're an experienced production leader with a passion for operational excellence, quality control, and team development. You thrive in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment and are skilled at managing people, processes, and production goals. You’re detail-oriented, proactive, and always looking for ways to optimize efficiency while maintaining the highest quality standards. You will oversee the daily operations of our cannabis production facility, ensuring the highest levels of quality, compliance per state and federal regulations, and efficiency.
What You'll Do:
Lead and supervise a team of production staff, providing training, coaching, and performance management. Manage and execute daily production schedules, ensuring all products meet quality and compliance standards. Oversee equipment operation, maintenance, and sanitation in accordance with cGMP and SOPs. Implement and maintain quality control processes, including analytical testing for consistency and compliance. Manage inventory, track materials, and ensure accurate reporting. Ensure adherence to all state and federal cannabis regulations. Develop and optimize production workflows to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Compliance, and Supply Chain, to support company goals.What You'll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field. 4+ years of experience in a lab, manufacturing, or production setting. Proven leadership experience managing and mentoring a large team. Strong knowledge of QA/QC processes, including experience with HPLC and GC analysis. Ability to create, document, and improve SOPs and training materials. Experience with inventory tracking systems (e.g., BioTrack, METRC). Strong problem-solving skills, ability to prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to upholding safety and compliance standards.Even Better If:
You have experience working in the cannabis industry. You bring a strong background in process optimization and lean manufacturing principles. You are familiar with state cannabis regulations and compliance requirements.
