This role is vital in maintaining high standards in safety, animal husbandry, personnel management, and cost control while optimizing production efficiency. You will lead a team dedicated to achieving operational excellence and sustainability within a farm-based environment.Responsibilities:Provide leadership and direction to production teams, fostering a culture of accountability and teamwork.Oversee all aspects of flock management, including feeding schedules, bird movement, and health monitoring.Maintain strict adherence to biosecurity policies and regulatory compliance.Coordinate and oversee maintenance of layer facilities, ensuring all equipment operates efficiently.Implement and maintain rodent, fly, and pest control programs.Monitor bird health, collaborating with veterinarians and nutritionists to ensure proper care.Maintain production records, scheduling bird placement, and managing production needs based on demand.Ensure the proper execution of all standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to production.Work closely with the feed mill to ensure timely feed delivery and optimal feed formulation.Respond to emergencies during off-hours to maintain operational stability.Qualifications and Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent experience in live animal production, preferably poultry.Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in production or agricultural operations.Strong background in personnel management, scheduling, and team development.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).Bilingual in English & Spanish preferred.Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in varying climate conditions.Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.Benefits and Perks:Pay Rate: $75,000 per yearMedical Benefits: Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insuranceHolidays: Paid time off for recognized holidaysTraining & Growth: Opportunities for career advancement and professional developmentYour New Organization:Join a company dedicated to excellence, innovation, and teamwork in farm-based production.
