Production Manager
Production Manager Job Description As the Production Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our high-volume additive manufacturing production operations. You will lead a team of skilled technicians, operators, and support staff to ensure the efficient and effective execution of production activities. This includes managing workflow, optimizing throughput, maintaining quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. You will be a key member of the operations team, collaborating cross-functionally to align operations with the company's strategic objectives. Responsibilities + Manage and oversee a team of production personnel, including technicians, operators, and support staff. + Develop and implement production plans, schedules, and workflows to maximize throughput and meet customer demands. + Drive continuous operational excellence across all manufacturing processes and workflows to achieve key performance metrics. + Ensure strict adherence to 5S principles (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain) to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient production environment. + Oversee all aspects of workplace safety, including training, hazard identification, and incident response. + Analyze production data and metrics to identify opportunities for process optimization and cost savings. + Maintain strict quality control measures and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. + Lead the implementation of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives. + Collaborate with other departments such as engineering, procurement, and customer service to ensure seamless operations. + Manage budgets, labor, and resource allocation to optimize operational efficiency. Essential Skills + Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations management, or a related field. + Minimum 5 years of experience in a production or operations management role, preferably in a high-volume manufacturing environment. + Extensive knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, quality control processes, and continuous improvement methodologies. + Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Familiarity with additive manufacturing technologies and processes is a plus. + Good writing skills with the ability to create technical reports and documentation. + Experience in aerospace, automotive, or consumer products industries with high-quality metrics. + Understanding of Six Sigma principles, though certification is not required. + Experience as a manufacturing or process engineer is advantageous. Work Environment This position is located in Georgetown and requires onsite presence from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM with a half-hour lunch break. The work environment includes single shift manufacturing, industrial additive, and CNC operations. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $68.00 - $70.00/hr.
