Production Manager
Production Manager Department: Manufacturing Management Employment Type: Full Time Location: Valencia, California Reporting To: Plant Manager Compensation: $115,000 - $125,000 / year Description The Production Manager is a member of the Knowles Valencia leadership team and will play a critical role in ensuring efficient production processes of high-performance ceramic, film, electrolytic, mica and super capacitors. The position reports directly to the Plant Manager. Key Responsibilities + Production Oversight: Manage daily operations, ensuring on-time delivery, high-quality output, and compliance with production schedules + Lean Manufacturing: Implement and sustain lean manufacturing practices to maximize efficiency, reduce waste, and improve workflow and productivity. + Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and mentor manufacturing staff, promoting a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and accountability. + Regulatory Compliance: Ensure manufacturing processes comply with ISO standards and other regulations, including maintaining accurate documentation and adhering to quality control requirements. + Process Improvement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, quality, and supply chain) to identify opportunities for improvement in processes, equipment, and production systems. + Problem Solving: Address and resolve production issues and technical challenges to maintain high product quality and operational efficiency. + Safety and Quality Assurance: Enforce safety standards and ensure that quality assurance practices are followed in line with regulatory guidelines. + inventory Management: Work closely with supply chain team to maintain optimal inventory levels and minimize material shortages or overstock situations. + Any other duties that may be assigned. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise + BS degree with 8 years of progressive experience in a Manufacturing environment. + Prior experience leading teams and managing multiple direct reports. + Experienced in presenting to executive staff / leadership meetings + Experience with ERP systems. + Proven ability to drive results through leadership influence. + Must be able to read and interpret drawings and specifications. + Good communication skills and teamwork mindset + Logical thinking and result-driven + Computer literate and proficient with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, PowerPoint PREFERED + Proficiency in Lean tools, techniques and applying in Operational Management. + Bilingual Spanish. + Two years industry experience preferred. One element in our total compensation package is base pay. The starting base pay for this role is targeted to be between $115,000 to $125,000 per year. Individual compensation decisions are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to previous experience and skills acquired prior to joining Knowles, cost of living in the assigned work location, assigned schedule, and salaries of similarly situated peers at the company.
