Production Manager (Beverage)
Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Manager with experience in the beverage industry to oversee the production process in our facility located in Paarl, Western Cape. The Production Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of the production operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met.

Responsibilities:

– Develop and implement production plans to meet production targets and ensure smooth operations
– Manage production staff, providing leadership, training, and guidance to ensure a high-performance team
– Monitor production processes, equipment, and resources to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions
– Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
– Manage inventory levels and the supply chain to ensure an uninterrupted production process
– Collaborate with other departments, such as quality control, maintenance, and logistics, to optimize production processes
– Prepare reports on production performance, efficiency, and quality metrics for management review
– Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure products meet established standards

Qualifications and Experience:

– Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Food Science, or a related field
– At least 5 years of experience in a production management role in the beverage industry
– Strong knowledge of production processes and equipment in the beverage industry
– Proven leadership and team management skills
– Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Preferred Skills:

– Experience with Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
– Knowledge of quality systems such as ISO and HACCP
– Familiarity with ERP systems and production planning software
– Afrikaans
