What You Will Do:
You will lead a team that builds products. Your job is to have your team do this safely, with great quality, on time for the customer, while improving your factories productivity and inventory. Lead and direct a factory team of approx. 70 people including operators, material handlers, and team leads, across 2 shifts. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and perform any required safety reporting. Uphold 5S standards. Work with the Engineering and Maintenance teams to address any quality-related issues, reduce machinery related downtime, and improve quality control methods. Manage inventory signaling, material put away, kanban execution, identify potential shortages and other items owned by material handlers. Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as engineering, procurement, and logistics to optimize production. Monitor workflow efficiency, identify bottlenecks, and implement process improvements. Manage resources effectively, including materials, equipment, and personnel. Responsible for cross-training, temporary staffing, and the training process. Continuously seek areas for improvement and to lead kaizens and project work.
Qualifications You Will Need (required):
3-5 years of professional experience in an operations or leadership role Demonstrated positive results with Lean / Kaizen / continuous improvement skills. Demonstrated problem solving skills and out of the box thinking.
Preferred Experiences:
Bachelors degree in a related field (such as supply chain, engineering, business, etc.) 1-4 years of management experience. Proven track record of working with cross functional teams Inventory and Supply Chain Management Experience with Oracle and Power BI Exceptional communication (verbal and written) for varying levels of leadership.
