Description:You will be the Production Operations Manager for the Advanced Programs line of business at Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control. Our team is responsible for developing and implementing production operations strategies to ensure new products are manufacturable, meet cost and throughput requirements, and support the company's growth.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Production Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading the production operations efforts for new development programs, primarily serving the TMAP line of business and supporting other LOB development efforts in MFC. You will partner with cross-functional teams, including Design Engineers, Global Supply Chain, Program Management, and other leaders to drive product development success.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Leading Manufacturing and Industrial Engineers to ensure new products meet production requirements
• Partnering with Design Engineers to ensure design for manufacturability and assembly
• Collaborating with Global Supply Chain to ensure procurement and logistics meet production needs
• Supporting proposal generation and contract-funded product development efforts
• Analyzing and resolving programmatic issues varying from basic to complex
• Leading and influencing teams across multiple locations
• Serving as a liaison between multiple functions, including external subcontractors

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in an associated discipline or equivalent combination of experience and education
• Ability be a U.S. citizen and have the ability to obtain a security clearance; an Interim Secret clearance is required prior to starting.
• Manufacturing experience
• Previous lead or leadership experience
• Understanding of missile system products, laser weapons systems, and/or similar complexity products
• Knowledge of the product design process
• Previous product development experience
• Proficient in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
• Demonstrated effective communication skills including verbal, listening, technical writing and presentations
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve programmatic issues varying from basic to very complex
• Ability to lead and influence teams across multiple locations
•Ability to act as a liaison between multiple functions including external subcontractors
• Must have the ability to travel up to 25%
Desired Skills:
• Previous MFC development program experience
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including team building and collaboration
• Experience with the MFC product development process
• Experience in design for manufacturing / assembly and design to cost
• Experience with the proposal generation process
• Understanding of engineering principals
• Demonstrated collaboration across multiple LM disciplines
• Experience with manufacturing automation concepts and implementation
• Experience with manufacturing simulation / modeling tools
• Experience with advanced manufacturing and materials concepts including additive manufacturing

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
