Job Description
We are looking for candidates to operate production equipment, including dryers, baggers, and standardizers. Responsibilities include monitoring the flow of milk, communicating with the production department, maintaining quality and safety standards, organizing and cleaning work areas, and assembling/disassembling pumps. Training will be provided on the 1st shift for approximately 6 weeks.
ResponsibilitiesMonitor the flow of milk from incoming tankers to the drying process.Dump powder into batches and communicate with the production department about the batches and types of production.Startup, run, and clean the standardizer machine.Maintain proper quality and safety standards for specific products/customers.Organize and clean work areas and machines.Assemble and disassemble pumps.Essential SkillsProduction Experience, especially with production lines or food production equipment.Basic math skills (e.g., 250 - 75, 300 + 250).Ability to lift 50 lbs throughout the shift.Ability to stand/walk for the entire duration of the shift.High School Diploma.NEED TO BE ABLE TO WORK ALL SHIFTSAdditional Skills & QualificationsPreferred: Experience in food or beverage production.
Work Environment
The work environment includes two plants, one of which is not climate-controlled and can become very hot and humid in the summer. The other, though newer, also gets hot and muggy due to machinery. The facility is wet at all times and follows strict FDA regulations. Candidates must wear a smock suit, elbow-length gloves, boots, and hair nets at all times on the plant floor. Comfortable clothing is recommended under the uniform. Shifts are flexible, and candidates must be willing to work various shifts, including potential weekends and holidays.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $15.00 - $18.00
