Production Operator - 2nd & 3rd Shift
**Job Description** · Perform a variety of line duties within the manufacturing environment to include highly skilled / senior-level processing, machine operator, and/or break relief operator jobs (e.g., Receiver, Blend/Filler/CIP/Retort/ Evaporator/Pasteurizer operators). This may include troubleshooting and performing minor maintenance repairs · Review process data and equipment performance data to improve quality, throughput, and troubleshoot · Assist with training efforts in functional area as needed · Review charts, screens, quality check sheets, and specifications that are in both hard copy and electronic format · Engage in problem solving to assist in improving production, safety, quality, and yields · Ensure operational efficiencies by positioning work, setting up of jobs, adjusting and operating equipment for proper functions and manufacturing of product · Perform quality monitoring of statistical information and report on variations to supervisor and lab · Inspect and identify any issues and perform preventative maintenance when needed · Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately · Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues · Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements · The requirements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employee, but is not a complete list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required. Other duties may be assigned as required **SCHEDULE:** This position will be 2nd shift, 3rd shift, or a combination of both with weekends and holiday's required. **BENEFITS:** + Competitive pay + Paid vacation and holidays + Comprehensive healthcare benefits + 401k with company match + Career growth opportunities + Service recognition and employee rewards + Employee referral program + Work for dairy farm families **Requirements** **EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE** + High school diploma or GED preferred + Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimal + Effective verbal and written communications skills + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment + Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings including drug, background and criminal checks + Must be able to stand, walk, pull, push, reach and bend virtually the entire shift + Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and assist others when lifting is necessary and manually stack and move cases up to 6-8 cases high + Must be able to work in a wet environment and work in an environment where temperature is maintained at 35–40 degrees Fahrenheit + Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends and holidays + May occasionally be exposed to cleaning chemicals An Equal Opportunity Employer **Pay Range** $21.74 - $27.17 / hour
