Job Summary:

Morton Salt's Rittman, OH location has immediate openings for production operators. The right individuals will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including operating various machinery and equipment, on varying shifts as required. These positions frequently demand considerable manual exertion.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Operate bagging or packaging equipment to maintain desired output and operating standards. Fill, palletize, and haul product to assigned storage. Perform adjustments and minor repairs to maintain production activities. Responsible for following production schedules and accurately reporting operational records. Assist in assuring the line is supplied with desired salt grades.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

High school diploma, or equivalent, required. Ability to operate a powered industrial vehicle. Prior manufacturing experience preferred.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

Must be able to work any shift and any schedule. Constant lifting up to 65 lbs., rapid work speed, standing, and grasping. Frequent bending, carrying and pulling up to 65 lbs., twisting, reaching, feeling, and finger movement. Frequent high acuity hearing and depth perception. Constant noise 80dB and over. Frequent vibration, dryness, dust, and mechanical hazards.  Eye protection, hearing protection, head covering, and foot protection required.
