About GAF - Baltimore, Maryland

Baltimore, Maryland is located right outside the Nation’s capital, along the coast of the Atlantic Ocean. Prime location for individuals interested in City life, with easy access to many amenities. The GAF Baltimore site has been operating for 50+ years, focusing on making residential shingles for the Mid-Atlantic region. The GAF Baltimore Plant is looking for a Production Machine Operator to assist in the production line where needed. Duties will include but are not limited to machine operation, quality verification, packaging, housekeeping & forklift operation.  

Essential Duties 

Production Machine Operators perform work that is required to manufacture shingle products, along with related safety, shut down, cleanup, and startup. Duties will also include but are not limited to machine operation, quality verification, packaging, housekeeping & forklift operation. 

Physical Demands 

The employee occasionally works in high places when assisting with thread-ups and above the floor level on catwalks and/or stairs, and is exposed seasonally to hot and cold weather. The noise level in the work environment requires hearing protection. 

Under This Roof, We Require 

o High School Diploma or equivalent 

o Must pass a drug test, physical and background check 

o Be able to work 7 days a week with short change-overs 

o Experience with machine operation or related skills 


 

Under This Roof, We Also Value 

o 1 year of machine operating experience in a high-speed process preferred

o Mechanical aptitude 

o Ability to process raw materials through machines using HMI's
