Production Operator
**Production Operator** **Job Description** We have openings for Production Operators on 1st/2nd Swing shifts from 7am-3pm and 3pm-11pm. Under the supervision of the Shift Supervisor, you will ensure the proper running and cleaning of production equipment for the safe manufacture of powder coatings at our Reading/Warsaw sites. Operators may be placed in Grinding, Weigh Up, or Extrusion production areas. **Responsibilities** + Takes ownership of production assets and ensures they are operated safely and per established procedures, guidelines, and industry good practice. + Performs daily production, preventative maintenance, process data collection, and administration tasks as per procedures and control systems. + Reports safety, quality, or other issues related to products or production processes to Team Leader or Shift Supervisor. + Ensures all production targets are met while maintaining the appropriate quality standards. + Attends and contributes to meetings. + Contributes to the investigation of HSE or quality issues. + Participates in Continuous Improvement activities & programs for HSE, Quality, ALPS, or other as may be assigned. + Adheres to the Golden Principle: intervene to stop work if conditions or behavior are unsafe. + Promotes health, safety, and environmental regulations by ensuring adherence to standards, policies, and procedures in compliance with corporate, federal, state, and local requirements. + Performs other duties as required for the success of the production process. **Essential Skills** + Basic mechanical aptitude. + Ability to determine screw profile for product as determined on batch ticket or run history by interacting with extruder operator on previous shift. + Ability to determine cleanliness of machine. + Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate in English including process sheets containing product process directions and safety precautions. + Must follow all established safety rules and procedures. + Must demonstrate integrity while performing duties as per company’s Code of Conduct. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Prior experience working in a paint manufacturing facility preferred. + Prior manufacturing experience. + English Speaking. + Microsoft basic skills preferred. + Strong work history. + Two to three years of experience in a manufacturing environment. **Why Work Here?** We offer a range of benefits including 401(k) matching, dental insurance, health insurance, health savings account, paid time off, parental leave, referral program, and vision insurance. We are a detail-oriented, quality and precision-focused company that provides a stable working environment. **Work Environment** You will be working directly on the manufacturing floor as a production associate, responsible for pulling product samples. The environment is climate-controlled with a team of about 5 people per section.
