**Job Title: Production Operator**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a dedicated Production Operator to join our team in the manufacturing industry. As a Production Operator, you will be responsible for checking parts to ensure that the holes drilled into metal parts are the correct distance and size from the end of the part, using a tape measure. This role requires individuals who have prior manufacturing experience and are comfortable standing for most of the day.
**Responsibilities**
+ Measure and inspect holes drilled into metal parts to ensure they are the correct distance and size from the end of the part using a tape measure.
+ Perform manual machining, forklift operations, or assist in other areas as needed.
+ Conduct visual inspections and quality control checks.
+ Participate in general production, assembly, packaging, and machine operation tasks.
+ Operate various hand tools, power tools, and equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and blueprints.
**Essential Skills**
+ Ability to read and understand a tape measure, including fractions.
+ Prior manufacturing experience with the ability to stand for extended periods.
+ Experience in production, general labor, inspection, quality control, and assembly.
+ Proficiency in using calipers, blueprints, visual inspection techniques, and packaging.
+ Familiarity with hand tools, machine operations, power tools, and forklifts.
+ Knowledge of using micrometers for precise measurements.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience in the manufacturing industry.
+ Ability to work in various roles within the facility as needed.

**Work Environment**
This is not a climate-controlled facility and can be hot during the summer months. The working hours vary by department, with the Molding Department operating from 6:30am-3:00pm and 2:30pm-11:00pm (Mon - Fri) and 10:30pm-7:00am (Sun - Thurs). The Vinyl Department operates from 6:00am-2:30pm and 2:30pm-11:00pm (Mon - Fri). The team is friendly, supportive, and always ready to help each other.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brighton, Michigan.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $17.50

**Workplace Type**
