Job Purpose
We are now accepting applications for a Manufacturing Coordinator, B-Shift (could change based on current shift change posting), in Department 65. This position will report to Bryan Wilson and is Group B pay. The Manufacturing Coordinator supports Team Managers, in non-supervisory tasks, maintain schedule conformance, production efficiencies, product Quality, Safety, and Regulatory goals and objectives.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesEssential duties and responsibilities include the following, but other duties may be assigned:
Follow established Company standards and guidelines. Assist in training, development, and monitoring of department team members for safety, product quality, regulatory requirements and production efficiencies. Assist in providing leadership and direction to all department members. Monitor the manufacturing operation to ensure safety, product quality and production efficiency. Review and monitor line set-up and change-over for efficiency. Coordinate and production schedule to assure the department is complying with the schedule. Assist and support all problem-solving teams. Assure proper set up and communication for shift changes. Perform and maintain daily housekeeping, hygiene, and cleanliness procedures. Communicate to Team Supervisor any observed safety violation, inappropriate production methods and/or any actions that compromise quality in the department. Other duties as assigned by the department Team Supervisor. QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution. One (1) year of battery manufacturing experience working at the EnerSys Richmond location. Work experience within the department 65 and working knowledge of departmental operations; including equipment functions and operations.
Competencies:
Language Skills: Ability to read, write, speak and understand standard business English is required.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with and apply basic mathematical functions such as fractions, division, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills: Ability to use standard office software.
General Job Requirements Must be able to differentiate colors. Must be able to frequently bend; twist; reach; stoop; kneel or crouch. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds/23 kilos on a daily continuous basis. Anything heavier will be done with the assistance of a mechanical device or with the assistance of another employee. Must be able to stand for long periods of time Employees are responsible for wearing the required Personal Protective Equipment in the proper manner at all times. Must be able and willing to wear a respirator. Must be able and willing to work overtime. Must be able and willing to work varying schedules which may include nights, weekends, and public holidays. Risk of electrical shock. This position is exposed to harmful materials such as lead/fiberglass products. Periodic blood tests are required to measure the level of lead. Precautions are taken by the company/employee to reduce the risk of exposure and help ensure everyones safety. This position requires working in a plant/warehouse environment. Therefore, expect varying working conditions.
