Job Title: Production Operator

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated Production Operators to join our team in manufacturing high-quality printing ink. We are currently hiring for various shifts with comprehensive training provided:

Training is anywhere from 1-3 months

Openings:

1 - 2nd shift Shipping/Receiving Clerk - They will train probably 8:30am to 5pm (forklift exp)

2 - 2nd shift Mill Operator – They will train on 1st or 3rd (multi-tasking machine operating)_

1 - 3rd shift Mill/Mixer Operator – They may train on 2nd shift, if not they would train on 1st. (multi-tasking machine operating)

The ideal candidate will be trained to operate machinery and perform Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities.

ResponsibilitiesRun batches of ink at proper mill settings.Package finished product in various containers and apply labels.Clean and maintain machines to TPM standards.Learn and apply TPM knowledge to daily activities.Weigh-up batches, including shifting auto and manual steps and following the process order of addition.Discharge pigment and operate mixer safely; adhere to all Mixer Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).Operate the Hockmeyer mill and maintain optimum overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) standards.Create and maintain a database of all existing formulas, including processing times.Operate the press-out unit, pump filter equipment, and forklift.Act as a Quality Control (QC) liaison by providing ink samples, making ink adjustments, and recording data.Complete scheduled maintenance and troubleshooting procedures.Assist with repacking tasks.Essential Skills6+ months of production experience.3+ months of operating experience.Mechanical aptitude.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Willingness to learn.Bonus Skills & QualificationsForklift experience (preferred, training available). Stand up and sit down preferred.Experience in mixing, machine operations, and pump filter industry background.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

This is a manufacturing facility that produces ink. Employees will be provided with uniforms to protect their personal clothing from ink. The facility includes a locker room and other accommodations. Employees will receive a shift differential once converted: $1 differential for 2nd shift ($21/hr total) and $1.50 differential for 3rd shift ($21.50/hr total).

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Edwardsville, Kansas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
